Life After NYSC

Life after NYSC

varies for people and could be very much unpredictable. Things you never bargained for or expected might happen like; not getting a job as expected, not getting admitted immediately if you decide to do your Masters program, also, you could get employed in a state you never planned for, people who promised to help you might disappoint you, your friends who even agreed to start up something with you might change their mind at the last minute.

Hence, it is expedient that you must have an unyielding faith and you must also have series of other things you involve in, so as not to be devastated by any unplanned events.

Life after service could be so busy that you lose friends, it could also be so boring that you hang out with the wrong set of persons, it could also be so slow that you may even think and feel that you have been left behind especially when your friends begins to progress.

Bear in mind that in life Na only you waka com, you are not competing with anyone, like scriptures will say; “fret not thy self because of him who prospers in his way, rest in the Lord” Ps37:7.

You will have to deal with pressure both internally and externally, your environment will determine the one you will deal with the most, but an understanding of who you are in Christ Jesus will make the difference. Ideas will come from different places, people will suggest things to you, just understand who you are and know what you want.

Knowing what you stand for will guide your choices.
Whatever you want to do after service, go ahead and do it, start early, don’t give in to fear and procrastination. There is no knowledge that is wasted.

Just try and be around the right people at the time hearing the right things. Association at this junction becomes extremely important. Join a friend who is already doing something, learn a skill, do something, don’t just be idle because the job you are expecting is not forth coming.

You could see yourself in a cross road, as you might be faced with instances where you have to make critical decisions and compromising seemed to be the best option, you could even be persecuted, mocked or deprived of your desires if you choose to stand firm.

But note this; we are more than conqueror in all things and through God we can valiantly. You don’t have to compromise, there is always a way with God.

In conclusion, to the already serving corps members, before passing out, you must prayerfully plan, save, seek counsel, set logistics in place, think and make up your mind on what to do.

Knowing that the memory of the righteous is blessed, you must prepare for the life out there because when preparation meets with opportunity, success is inevitable. Lastly; you must endure. for many persons; manner will not fall from heaven and Rome was not built in a day, it’s a process, step by step. But one thing is sure, you can’t serve God and be put to shame.

If peradventure you still can’t tell what to do or you don’t know where God is leading you, you are not alone, Heb7:14, Jesus came out from Judah whom nothing was said about priesthood, greatness can spring forth from your life even if you can’t decipher it now. But a man of vision is better because where there is no vision the people perish. Your Greatness is in God, seek him daily.

Success to everyone presently obeying the clarion call and to the those who have served already.

You will do well
